Clinique Chantecler Marseille

Technical platform

The specialities of the Clinique Chantecler

Our establishment is a surgical clinic with a multidisciplinary activity.

Surgery

Orthopaedics

All pathologies can be treated here.

The most common operations are

  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Hand surgery
  • Foot surgery
  • Spinal surgery (vertebral column)
  • Upper limb surgery
  • Arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee and foot

Developments in surgical techniques mean that many operations can now be carried out under arthroscopy. This technique allows surgeons to operate under video and to reduce incisions. It is commonly used for knee operations:

  • Ligament grafting
  • Meniscus pathology

But also for spinal surgery in the case of herniated discs.

An orthopaedic consultation centre was opened in 2010. Patients can now be seen in new premises equipped with all the latest facilities.

Ophthalmology Unit

The clinic has 2 operating theatres dedicated to ophthalmology, equipped with phacoemulsifiers (cataract treatment equipment) and lasers.

The main pathologies treated are

  • Cataracts
  • Glaucoma
  • Corneal transplants
  • Eyelid surgery
  • Retinal surgery (detachment, macular disorders)
  • Vitreous and eye infections

Our patients are admitted on an outpatient or inpatient basis, depending on the nature of the operation. The clinic also has a refractive surgery unit (treatment of myopia) set up in a special aseptic room.

Urology Department

The main pathologies treated are

  • Urinary lithiasis
  • Bladder and prostate resection
  • Prostate adenoma (laparoscopy or surgery)

Exploratory and surgical endoscopies are also performed.

Chantecler - Casamance urinary lithiasis treatment centre:

A lithotripter was acquired in August 2010 thanks to a partnership with the La Casamance clinic. This latest-generation device significantly reduces the pain experienced by patients in the treatment of urinary calculi (destruction of the stone using ultrasound, followed by elimination by natural means).

Other specialities

  • Digestive and general surgery
  • Vascular surgery
  • Laparoscopic surgery
  • Surgical dermatology
  • Gastroenterology
  • ENT
  • Stomatology

Surgical technical platform

The operating theatre has 11 rooms equipped with the latest surgical and monitoring equipment. 2 rooms are entirely dedicated to ophthalmology and 1 room is specifically for endoscopy.

The 12-bed recovery room enables patients to be monitored until their vital functions have been fully restored.
