Chantecler - Casamance urinary lithiasis treatment centre:
A lithotripter was acquired in August 2010 thanks to a partnership with the La Casamance clinic. This latest-generation device significantly reduces the pain experienced by patients in the treatment of urinary calculi (destruction of the stone using ultrasound, followed by elimination by natural means).
The operating theatre has 11 rooms equipped with the latest surgical and monitoring equipment. 2 rooms are entirely dedicated to ophthalmology and 1 room is specifically for endoscopy.
The 12-bed recovery room enables patients to be monitored until their vital functions have been fully restored.
