The day before and the day of the operation

The day before the operation, please follow the instructions given in your passport/admission booklet:

• You must take a pre-operative shower using the product prescribed for you the day before and the day of the operation.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke after midnight on the day before the operation.

Hygiene

Pre-operative advice to prevent the risk of infection

• You must prepare your skin in accordance with the document given to you by your surgeon. Posters in the bathrooms will remind you of the pre-operative shower protocol.
• It is forbidden to shave the surgical site with a mechanical razor; this will necessarily lead to your operation being postponed.
• Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed, brushed and free of nail varnish, even if colourless.
• Jewellery (including piercings) and make-up are forbidden.
• You must arrive with your teeth brushed and your hair clean and tied back.
