The Clinique Chantecler offers its patients preparatory meetings for hip replacement surgery.
Posted on 01/19/2022As part of Almaviva Santé's commitment to medical excellence, the Clinique Chantecler is enhancing its technical expertise with additional protocols that are always in the patient's best interest. For example, with a view to an anterior approach hip replacement, Dr Michel CHRISTOFILIS has set up preparatory meetings prior to patient admission.
The aim? To inform, explain and share experiences in order to improve patient care.
This initiative fully meets the expectations of both the medical team and patients:
- On the patient side: "future patients" often express concern and sometimes frustration at not having dared to ask their surgeon a certain number of questions. Thanks to the preparatory meeting, patients have time to ask all their questions, they can identify the people who will be accompanying them during their hospital stay, and they feel more confident because the process has become more concrete for them.
- As far as the care team is concerned, these preparatory meetings have a definite added value: well-informed patients are more serene, which will facilitate their "care pathway" during hospitalisation and throughout post-operative follow-up.
